Dechrome

We've been dechroming vehicles for over a decade. Our technicians can dechrome any part of your car to a factory OEM finish for a more stealth, premium look, and remove it free of charge at any point. Every dechrome carries a 10-year warranty.

Benefits of dechrome

  • Enhance the looks of your vehicle

Dechroming can significantly improve the looks of your vehicle. Once the dechrome is done, window tints tend to stand out better, and the whole car takes on a more stealth look.

  • Better value for your vehicle

Dechrome is an easy way to make a lower-spec vehicle look like the highest spec possible. A Mercedes C-Class AMG can resemble the premium pack model, or an Audi S Line the Black Edition, increasing the value of your car.

  • Protects chrome from damage

The chrome parts of a vehicle tend to get damaged very easily. A dechrome protects the chrome underneath and preserves the vehicle's value.

  • Cost-effective

A chrome-delete package from the main dealer can cost a fortune. Dechroming instead gets your vehicle blacked out for a fraction of the price.

Finishes available

Three dechrome finishes: gloss black is the most popular, and how most cars come out of the factory.

Frequently asked questions

What areas of my car can be dechromed?

Any area of your vehicle that you see in chrome can be dechromed. The most popular areas are the window trims, roof rails, front and back badges, grille surrounds, front splitter, rear boot lip, and rear bumper lip.

How long does it take to dechrome my car?

It mainly depends on how much dechrome needs doing. A full dechrome is likely to take the full day; a partial dechrome takes roughly 4 hours. Dechroming is a tedious, intricate process, which is why it takes time to complete properly.

What is the most popular colour and finish?

The most popular option is gloss black. It's the most common finish and how most cars come out of the factory.

How long until I can wash my car?

Don't wash the vehicle for 7 days after the dechrome is completed. We recommend washing your car before your appointment so you don't have to worry about it looking dirty for a week.

Can the dechrome be removed later?

Yes, the dechrome can be removed at any point, free of charge. If you're removing it to sell the vehicle, we'd actually recommend selling with the dechrome on, as it can help get a better price.

Does it come with any warranty?

Our dechrome services come with a 10-year warranty. More information is available on your warranty card.
